The hemp fiber insulation flexes nicely and provides a good fit between the joists. The insulation can be cut with an oversize of up to 20-30 mm and then fit in. This gives fitters more tolerance and speeds up assembly.
Hemp fiber insulation has been tested for harmful emissions such as formaldehyde and VOCs, the result shows levels that are below limit values by about 100x. The reason is that the insulation consists of natural fiber, recycled textiles and a food-grade mineral salt that does not cause any harmful emissions. It does not itch and is therefore often appreciated in the workplace by fitters and craftsmen.
